Academic calendar
Academic year at the University of Primorska lasts from 1st October until 30th September the following year. Semesters and examination periods at the UP are distributed as follow:
Autumn semester: beginning of October – mid January, followed by a 4 weeks examination period
Spring semester: mid February – end of May, followed by a 5 weeks examination period
Autumn semester: from Wednesday, 1 October 2025 to Friday, 16 January 2026
Winter examination period: from Monday, 19 January 2026 to Friday, 13 February 2026 (4 weeks)
Spring semester: from Monday, 16 February 2026 to Friday, 29 May 2026
Summer examination period: from Monday, 1 June 2026 to Friday, 3 July 2026 (5 weeks)
Autumn examination period: from Monday, 17 August 2026 to Friday, 11 September 2026 (4 weeks)
15 October 2025 is Rector’s Day. On this day, various sports and other events are organised for students and employees.
