Health Examination

All unviersity staff needs to do successfully pass a health examination before you can start working in Slovenia.

The human resources office will arrange a health examination for you once your arrival date will be known. Usually the health examination is also your first working day.

Labour Market Control

In some cases the university has to check the situation on the labour market with competent authorities and receive an approval for employment of a foreigner by the Employment Services. Researchers are generally exempt from that.

The university human resources perform this on your behalf.

Employment contract preparation

UP is a public and state university. All of its staff are public workers in line with Slovenian legislation and collective agreements. Therefore, UP uses type contracts for its position, which follow the legislative framework.

The human resources office will send a draft contract for your review after you send your data to them.
