The University of Primorska reserves 15% of dormitory beds exclusively to international students who are enrolling for the first time in the first year of bachelor studies as degree-seeking students (i.e., those pursuing a full degree program at UP).

The first call for applications is open to foreign students who are enrolled or have been invited to enrol for the first time in the first year of an undergraduate (1st cycle) study programme at UP in the study year 2026/2027 and whose secondary education is/will be completed in the year of the call for applications. Applicants must apply by filling in the online form published on the website.

Accommodation in UP dormitories is not possible and relevant for mobile students. All applications from students on a mobility to the UP dormitories won’t be accepted. 

Sharing a flat is a popular option for many students, as it offers more affordable living costs and an opportunity to meet people from diverse backgrounds.

Due to the high demand during the tourist season, we kindly recommend that your mobility dates fall between mid-September and the end of April (applies to short mobility stays of up to 60 days), as this period typically offers greater accommodation availability and more favorable rental rates.

!!Important note!! Please be careful when searching for accommodation on social media. From experience, various Facebook groups are not the most reliable, so please pay extra attention. We recommend that you only search for accommodation on the sites listed below. The majority of students live in privately owned flats in coastal towns. In Slovenia, it is common to share a room with another student.
