Subsidised food

In Slovenia, all students can benefit from government food subsidies, which can be used at participating restaurants. Each month, you will get the same number of subsidised coupons as there are working days in that month, usually around 20. You can use them between 7 am and 10 pm, and you can use up to two coupons a day, with at least four hours between meals.

To use the subsidised coupons, you have to register with the system. When paying for your meal, you can present your phone (by making a call), use an app or a card to claim your subsidy. More >>>

Prospective students who are enrolling in the Subsidised Student Meals system for the first time, can check the application procedure at www.studentskaprehrana.si. You also have to visit the Student Organisation of the University of Primorska (ŠOUP) to finish the registration process. Bring with you:

• Your enrolment certificate,
• Your ID.

Early enrolment for those who are already enrolled in the Subsidised Student Meals system:

Students who are already enrolled in the Subsidised Student Meals system can enter their personal profile with their username and password already in September. Just mark that you want to use the right to student meals for the next academic year and avoid queue at ŠOUP. You can make this step after receiving the enrolment certificate for the new academic year.
